Our Style of Audit
1. Comprehensive model beyond sampling:
We believe in providing our clients with a comprehensive understanding of supplier’s social compliance standings. With that in mind, we have moved away from a sample-based model and adopted a comprehensive approach that aims to assess the entire factory's operations and practices related to social compliance. This approach provides a more accurate representation of the overall compliance performance and helps identify both strengths and areas for improvement across the entire factory.
2. Meaningful engagement with workers beyond mundane interviews:
To foster more meaningful engagement with workers during audits, auditors can employ various strategies beyond traditional question-answer interviews.
We have adopted a participatory interview model that encourage workers to actively participate in the audit process. In each of our audits we carry out a focus groups discussion on critical risk area in the facility where workers get opportunities to share their experiences, challenges, and suggestions. These interactive sessions allow our auditor to form a deeper understanding of root cause and intensity of issues in a collaborative atmosphere.
3. Tailored model for each facility:
We understand that every factory is unique, and our audits are tailored to meet the specific needs of our clients. Based on the size, complexity, and nature of the factory, we design our audit protocols to ensure a thorough evaluation of social compliance practices throughout the facility.
4. Evaluating audit performance with open-source research:
We provide as Supplemental open-source research about the auditee along with our audits. Our open-source research involves gathering information from publicly available sources, such as news articles, company reports, social media, and other online platforms.
By monitoring news and media coverage of the auditee, our audits provide clients with a comprehensive understanding of the facility We also monitor the auditee’s presence on social media platforms and online forums to understand worker sentiment, and possible community nuisance.
